Email is an important part of your digital life, and your inbox holds plenty of private information. Therefore, we want you to know that the privacy of your data is a big deal to us. We promise that we will never sell your data.

Opty (“we” or “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website mailwip.com (collectively, the “Site”).

We don't track you. This website has no analytic whatsoever.

We don't store or log your email. If you EXPLICITLY enable "Mail Log", then we will store your emails so that you can inspect and debug email flows or webhooks. However, we will never ever store your email by default, and we don't log it anywhere.

We don't share your data with any third party services. The only exception is when you made a payment, the credit card information will be sent to Stripe.

Next, we will go into detail what we collect and why and how we handle your data.

Information we do not collect

We don't store your emails unless you enable mail log or webhook. We don't store your credit card information. We don't track your IP address or browser information.

Information We Collect

We only collect what is needed to help the site functional and secure our system.

Personal Data

When you sign up for Mailwip, we typically ask for your name and email address. We use this information to communicate with you, send invoices, billing information, and alert you about your account.

Financial Data

When you make a payment or enter your credit card for subscription payment, we send your credit card information directly to our payment processor(Stripe currently). That information doesn’t ever go through our servers. We only store the name on the credit card so we can display that name in billing history, invoicing, and payment transaction.

Derivative Data

Our web server(Nginx) and application have access logs that contain your IP address, browser user-agent,your access times, and the pages you viewed. This information is typically stored in many web server logs and usually deleted within 30 days or earlier (if our log storage reaches its capacity before the 30 days mark). We use this information to help debug and improve performance of our application, or defend ourselves from hacking attempts.

Cookie

We store a cookie in a session for each of your visits to help us know if you are authenticated with our system yet. It also helps your browser to remember your login information, your preferences thus make it easier for you to use our applications.

Data sharing with third parties

We do not share your information with any third-party services except:

  • Stripe: in which we pass your credit card information to them. However, we never store your credit card data in our database.
  • Amazon SES: in which we pass your email address for transactional emails, e.g. for account signup, invoice, or password reset.

Access to your information

Our default rule is not to access your information. There are times when we need to access your information such as when we are helping you in a support session to troubleshoot an issue, at that time, in order to assist you, we may have to access your information. Other than that, we will never access your information on our own.

Data Removal

If at any time, you wish to remove the information that you have provided us with, then go to Dashboard > Profile and click "Delete my Account". All of your data will be deleted for good. Note that this process happens in the background, and due to the amount of data you have, it may not happen in real time but within a couple hours your data should be deleted forever.
